This talk explores the amazing growth in data rates and download speeds over the past decade in wireless communications, and demonstrates how the three engineering pillars of 5G, massive-mimo, small cells, and millimeter wave communications, will bring forth far greater growth than anyone could imagine today, eventually enabling "wireless cognition" and "information showers," where real time over-the-air-data transmissions occur at the rate of human thinking.
