プロダクションプリンターの印刷方式の一つとしてデジタル印刷方式が挙げられる．デジタル印刷方式は印刷用の版を必要としないため少量多品種の生産に適しており，印刷内容を1枚ごとに変えることができるバリアブル印刷が特徴である．したがって，個人向けのダイレクトメールなどに非常に適している．しかしながら，バリアブル印刷において印刷物が正しく印刷されたことを保証する仕組みが課題となっている．本稿ではプロダクションプリンターにおける検査装置を紹介し，課題に対する取り組みについて解説する．
Digital printing is one of the printing methods used in production printers. Digital printing does not require printing plates, making it suitable for small-lot, multi-variety production, and it is characterized by variable printing, in which the printed content can be changed from sheet to sheet. Therefore, it is very suitable for direct mail for individuals. However, a system to guarantee that printed materials are printed correctly in variable printing has become an issue. In this paper introduces inspection equipment for production printers and describes how it addresses this issue.
